Can I exclude a video from being monetized?

At this time you cannot exclude any specific videos from being monetized through the YouTube Sound Recording Revenue Collection Service. When you monetize a track on YouTube through this service, you monetize all the videos that track can be found on.  We’re unable to exclude certain videos from the service, but you can specify one channel to whitelist in your YouTube Channel Preferences.

If you don’t want a video that’s using a certain track of yours to be monetized (and it’s not part of the channel you’ve picked to whitelist) then do not select that track for the monetization service.  If you already selected that track to be monetized, you can completely remove it from YouTube Monetization and stop all monetization for this track.

If you’d like to request a track to be permanently removed from YouTube Monetization, please submit your request.
